Hyacinths are purple flowers that are native to the eastern area of the Mediterranean. Hyacinths bulbs can be grown successfully in the UK and the bulbs should be planted in the autumn – they will usually flower in the spring if grown indoors. They will thrive in sunlight, and will grow well if they’re in partial shade as well. Make sure you don’t overwater them to keep the bulbs healthy.
